Since 2015, Seth has been teaching Spanish through his business, Charleston Spanish Tutor. Having spent much of his adult life living and working among bilingual citizens, he believes that Americans would be more competitive in the global economy and have more enriching international experiences if they were bilingual in English and Spanish.
Seth earned his B.S. in International Business and his B.A. in Spanish from the College of Charleston. Prior to earning his M.B.A. from the University of Georgia, he published one of the South’s largest Spanish-language newspapers by circulation. He splits his time between Medellín, Colombia and Charleston, South Carolina.
Omar is the Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking for Truist. In his 20+ year career working with business owners in the Southeast, he has witnessed a growing need for Spanish in the workplace across industries. Of Dominican descent, Omar worked with our Executive Director to become fluent in Spanish in order to better communicate with his family members in the Dominican Republic.
Lili is the owner of an optometry practice in Medellín, Colombia. Leveraging her bilingual skills, she has been able to carve a niche in Medellín's medical industry by serving the city’s rapidly-growing English-speaking population.
A bilingual English/Spanish native of Charleston, South Carolina, Stephen leveraged his language and business skills to found an international artisanal rum company outside of Medellín, Colombia, where he has been residing since the early 2010s.
A seasoned structural engineer, Eric has designed several notable structures throughout the Southeast. Having worked with numerous builders over his 20+ year career, he understands the growing importance of Spanish in the construction industry.
